Pre-Pedagogical Content Knowledge for Elementary Teaching and Educational Studies, A.A. (GVSU))

This double major program offers courses that meet Michigan Department of Education Standards for the Preparation of Teachers of Lower and/or Upper Elementary Education. This program will prepare students to teach all subject areas in Lower Elementary (PK-3rd Grade) and/or Upper Elementary (3rd-6th Grade).

The Elementary Education Bachelor’s degree is accomplished by completing this A.A. program at GRCC and transferring seamlessly to complete the Educational Studies major and PCKET major at GVSU. By declaring this Articulated Pre-Major, students are on track to graduate with both an associate arts degree from GRCC as well as a bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University.
